Continuing an annual tradition of community-led investment in education, Crystal Mountain and the Crystal Scholarship Foundation (CSF) are proud to announce the 2026 class of scholarship recipients. This year, the foundation is awarding just over $39,000 to five new recipients and three second-year award winners.

After more than 65 hours of snowmaking and more than a foot of natural snowfall, Crystal Mountain is thrilled to open the slopes Friday morning, December 5, for the 2025-2026 winter season. The lifts start spinning at 9 a.m., with the coveted first chair celebration taking place on the Loki Quad.

“The potential to deploy clean energy solutions is enormous,” says Jim MacInnes, a professional engineer and Crystal Mountain chairman. “I’m looking forward to showing participants some of the resort’s sustainability initiatives, including: a closed-loop building geothermal heat pump system, capturing and reusing waste heat in the resort’s LEED-certified spa, and the EV charging systems.”
