Reagan Thorr is this year’s CMSI scholarship recipient

THOMPSONVILLE, Mich. (Feb. 25, 2021) – Reagan Thorr is the first recipient of the Crystal Scholarship Foundation scholarship. She will receive $5,000 toward her college education.
Thorr, 18, daughter of Karyn and Thomas Thorr, is a senior at Frankfort High School.
The scholarship is awarded to an outstanding senior who is an employee or child of an employee of Crystal Mountain. Thorr’s mom Karyn is the managing broker for Crystal Mountain Realty.
This is the first year for the scholarship and was made on behalf of a Crystal Mountain member golf tournament called the Crystal Mountain Scholarship Invitational. Postponed this year due to COVID restrictions, funds were raised through generous donors, past participants of the Crystal Mountain Scholarship Invitational and merchandise sales.
The 2021 invitational is scheduled for Aug. 13-14 at Crystal Mountain.
“Reagan Thorr was selected because she embodies the four pillars of the scholarship program: academic proficiency, solid character, community service and work ethic,” according to a member of the selection committee.
Reagan is undecided on her college selection, but plans to pursue a career in the allied health industry and she hopes to continue being a student athlete at the collegiate level. She is a member of the Frankfort High School girls’ basketball, volleyball and track and field teams.
