Buy your ticket now for the Michigan Beer and Brat Festival for a chance to win $500 to Crystal Mountain

May 10, 2022

THOMPSONVILLE, Mich. (May 10, 2022) – Kick off summer with a taste of Michigan-made food and drink this Memorial Day weekend at Crystal Mountain. The family-friendly Michigan Beer and Brat Festival is returning for its 15th year Saturday, May 28.

VIP Admission and General Admission tickets are available online and the day of the event. Those who buy their ticket before May 21 will be entered to win a $500 Crystal Mountain gift card, plus two general admission tickets to next year’s Michigan Beer and Brat Festival.

The festival will host more than two dozen vendors featuring craft beer, hard cider, wine, liquor, and of course, brats! More than 1,300 pounds of brats, accompanied by 6,350 buns, 21 gallons of ketchup, 14 gallons of mustard, 140 pounds of onions, 600 pounds of asparagus, and a whole lot of chips.

“It’s the perfect party to kick off summer in northern Michigan,” President of Crystal Mountain Chris MacInnes said. “Thousands of friends gather at the base of the slopes to celebrate the best Michigan has to offer – fresh food from nearby farms and businesses, beer, wine and spirits representing the Mitten State, and outstanding musicians on stage.”

To make sure no one goes thirsty, Crystal Mountain ordered more than 140,000 ounces of microbrews, meads, hard ciders, wine and liquor. Many of the vendors are returning to the festival, including Bell’s Brewery and Founder’s Brewing Company which have been at the event every year since it began in 2006.

“The Michigan Beer and Brat Festival has always been one of our favorite events; the food, the friendly staff, the location at the bottom of the mountain – it’s hard to beat!” Jason Toothman, Bell’s sales manager, said. “This year is even more exciting because we’ll be welcoming our sister brewery, Upper Hand Brewing, from the U.P.”

This is the first year Upper Hand Brewing will be at the festival, along with few other first-timers: Boss Cider, MiddleCoast Brewing Company and Five Shores Brewing. Entertainment this year includes music from the TC Knuckleheads, followed by Jedi Mind Trip.

VIP Admission includes early festival access (3 to 8 p.m.), 20 tickets to be used on drinks or food, two special edition beers, one 8-ounce beer glass and a lanyard that holds the glass. General Admission (4 to 8 p.m.) includes one 8-ounce beer glass and 10 event tickets. Additional tickets for food and drink will be available for $1 each.

Crystal Mountain asks that you please be responsible about your alcohol consumption. Guests are encouraged to assign a designated driver or use on-property shuttle services. Benzie Bus will also provide free rides for festival goers staying in the local area. Cars left overnight will not be ticketed or towed. All guests ages 21 or older must show valid photo I.D.
