CCSC Racers Heading to State Finals

Several Crystal Community Ski Club racers qualified for Michigan High School Athletic Association 2022 Skiing Championships in alpine ski divisions.
Kate Kendall, Claire Kendall and Annika Risko competed in regionals for Division 1, Region 1 for Grand Haven schools. Kate Kendall qualified for state finals with an 11th-place finish in slalom; and Claire Kendall qualified for state finals with a 14th-place, also in slalom.
Mya Phares and Collin Shippy from Spring Lake and Kiera Bishop from Grand Rapids Christian High school competed in Division 2, Region 5. Phares qualified for state finals with a 10th-place in slalom. Bishop qualified with her team with a 14th-place finish in slalom and 15th-place finish in giant slalom.
Congratulations to these amazing CCSC racers.
Division 1 state finals are Monday at Boyne Mountain; Division 2 state finals are Monday at Schuss Mountain.
