Elevate Your Golf Game
Whether you’re looking for new tips and tricks to perfect your swing, need someone to teach you the basics, or just want a change of course scenery, Crystal Mountain is the place for an exceptional golf experience. Home to two 18-hole championship golf courses and a 10-acre practice facility, all surrounded by hardwoods, towering pines, and wildflowers, this is place for true northern Michigan golf.
TWO 18-HOLE CHAMPIONSHIP GOLF COURSES
Home to the Michigan PGA Women’s Open for 20+ years, Mountain Ridge is carved into the side of the mountain offering significant elevation changes from tee to green. Enjoy a 5-minute cruise in a new electric golf cart up the side of the ski hill to the first hole. PRO TIP: On hole #1, aim slightly to the right of the big tree down the left side of the fairway. This will set you up with the perfect approach angle to a difficult green that slopes right to left and front to back. Try to land your approach on the right half of the green to keep the water guarding the entire left side of the green out of play.
The OG course of Crystal Mountain golf, Betsie Valley will challenge the ability of any golfer. With it’s treelined fairways, strategically placed bunkers, and protected greens, you’ll feel like you’re playing on a brand-new course after the recent 2021-22 renovations. PRO TIP: Hole #6 could be considered the most difficult hole on property. The dogleg left Par 4 plays over 400 yards with hazards on both sides throughout. Take dead aim at the bunker right of the fairway because most platers won’t be able to reach it and it will take the water out of play. This green slopes back to front. If you can finish this hole with par or better, then you’ve made a great score!
NEW FOR 2024

Plus, it allows for mobile food and beverage ordering! Additionally, by introducing GPS it allows for close monitoring of pace of play to ensure all of our members and guests have an enjoyable round.

BOOK A TEE TIME, ANYTIME
One of the perks of golf in northern Michigan? You can play golf in three different seasons which offer three different golf experiences. Playing in the summer, June in particular, offers the most sunlight and the longest days providing ample opportunity to book tee times. (Book a tee time in late June after the Michigan PGA Women’s Open and you’ll play on the same conditions as the pros!) Booking a tee time in Spring means the trees are still filling in after the colder months, so finding your ball when it leaves the fairway may take less time than usual. Last but not least, Fall golf at Crystal Mountain is simply stunning, making every shot a beauty. The awe-inspiring fall colors lining the fairways and the cart paths – on both courses – will have you forgetting about that score card and focusing on the beauty of northern Michigan.
