Biking

Pedal around our quaint village core and mountainside neighborhoods. Or enjoy the single-track serenity surrounding our wooded grounds. Crystal Mountain guests can easily explore a variety of bike trail and terrain options. In addition to on-site biking, Crystal Mountain's trails connect to the 10-mile  Betsie River Pathway. We also recommend a handful of local bike trails, all within a short drive from Crystal Mountain. Visit our Local Attractions page to learn more.

Bike rentals are available April through October, weather permitting. All bike rentals are first come, first serve. Helmets and maps are provided. For more information, please call the Park at Water's Edge,  231-378-2238. 

All participants are required to sign a waiver. A parent or guardian will need to sign a waiver for participants under 18 years old.

Cost

• $25 per bike, up to a 2-hour rental for standard bikes, cruisers, mountain bikes, kids bikes, fat tire bikes and burleys.
• Pre-purchase extra time for $10 per hour, per bike at the time of checkout. Refunds are not available for unused time.

Lessons

Mountain Bike Package
Includes a one-hour basic skills lesson plus a one-hour bike rental. Participants will be instructed in basic fundamentals of mountain bike handling consisting of static drills, demonstration and on-trail instruction. Must be at least 10 years old to participate and be a proficient bike rider.  Cost: $50

Participants must call the Park at Water's Edge at least 48-hours in advance of their desired lesson time. Reservations are required. Please call 231-378-2238.

Guided Group Rides

Take a 90 minute guided ride along our on-site mountain bike trail system.  Minimum age to participate is 12 years old. The ride pace is moderate. Reservations required, call the Park at Water's Edge, 231-378-2238.

Cost with Rental: $50
Cost without Rental: $30
