Diamond Crossing Historical Marker Dedication
Saturday, June 19, 2021
Join us for the formal dedication of Benzie County's tenth historical marker, a community celebration and public visioning session.
The diamond-shaped crossing of steel rails and the subsequent rail traffic that it facilitated was instrumental in the growth and economic development of Northern Michigan. The official historic marker dedication will be followed by a “public visioning session for the future”, and community members are encouraged to join the celebration and share their vision for this historic site.
Time: 2pm
Location: Red Thompsonville Junction Caboose
Thompson Ave, Thompsonville MI
Kindly RSVP: (231) 882-5539 or info@benziemuseum.org
Hosted by the Benzie Area Historical Society, the Village of Thompsonville, and Colfax and Weldon Townships. Sponsored by Crystal Mountain.
